A Spectacular Test
The queen stage heads north from Mertert until we reach the particularly spectacular final circuit. Instead of taking the normal road, the route goes up Côte du Niklosbierg on small paths. The average gradient is 18% – only climbers can stand up to it. This climb will have to be completed three times.
The finish at Vianden Castle will be an interesting test. It will be breathtaking, but is subject to a few restrictions. There isn’t much room for spectators in the finish area, however the most exciting moments of the race will take place beforehand. The last 200 metres will be narrow. Some spectacular images will be produced up there. Whoever wins this stage will have a great chance of climbing onto the final podium.
