Mathieu van der Poel: A World Champion on the starting line

The Škoda Tour de Luxembourg 2024 is set to feature a special rider: reigning World Champion Mathieu van der Poel has confirmed his participation in the race. The Dutch cyclist from Team Deceuninck-Alpecin, considered one of the biggest stars in international cycling, will be competing in Luxembourg from September 18th to 22nd, 2024.

Van der Poel has already claimed numerous victories in prestigious classics and world championships throughout his career. In 2023 alone, he won the monuments Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix, and also took the world championship title that same year. He also triumphed in the Tour of Flanders in both 2020 and 2022.

Known for his aggressive racing style and his ability to dominate in crucial moments, van der Poel’s participation is sure to excite not only local fans but also attract international spectators.
