Return to the Castle of Vianden & new Bonus Sprint

The 85th edition of the Škoda Tour de Luxembourg (September 17–21, 2025) promises to be truly spectacular:
Two years after a memorable first, the race returns with a unique finish inside the courtyard of the medieval castle of Vianden – an exceptional setting guaranteed to deliver unforgettable images.

Another major novelty is the Spuerkeess Bonus Sprint: an intermediate sprint placed about 60 km before the finish of each stage (except ITT). Riders will battle for precious time bonuses (3-2-1) towards the general classification, along with a cash prize – adding an extra tactical dimension to the race.

In total, the route covers 694.4 kilometers across five stages, including a decisive 26.3 km individual time trial on day four.

Stage overview:

17.09.2025 – Stage 1: Luxembourg-Knuedler → Luxembourg-Fëschmaart (152.8 km)
A demanding opener featuring the climbs of Putscheid, Bourscheid and Eschdorf. The Spuerkeess Bonus Sprint comes 51 km from the finish. The full ascent of the Montée de Clausen guarantees a thrilling finale in the capital.

18.09.2025 – Stage 2: Remich  Mamer (168.4 km)
After the Côte de Wintrange and Côte de Remerschen, the stage heads to Mamer, where the finiish is located near the house of Nicolas Frantz, double Tour de France winner. A likely day for the sprinters.

19.09.2025 – Stage 3: Mertert  Vianden (170.5 km)
The queen stage! Featuring Beaufort and Munshausen climbs, a passage through Hosingen, then three ascents of the Niklosbierg in the final 50 km – before the iconic finish at Vianden Castle.

20.09.2025 – Stage 4: ITT Niederanven (26.3 km)
A decisive individual time trial where every second will matter for the GC-contenders.

21.09.2025 – Stage 5: Mersch  Luxembourg-Limpertsberg (176.4 km)
The traditional finale with the climbs of Nommern, Gralingen, Kautenbach and three brutal ascents of the short but steep Pabeierbierg. To succeed Antonio Tiberi, riders will have to give everything until the very last climb.

With its historic castle finish, innovative Bonus Sprint and selective route, the Škoda Tour de Luxembourg 2025 stands out as a must-see highlight of the international calendar – intense, prestigious and full of emotion.
