Safety, the organisation’s number one priority

The organisers of the SkodaTour LuXembourg continue to work meticulously on the safety issues for all the participants and in particular the riders.

It will be impossible to drive in the opposite direction of the race. The roads will be closed to traffic in both directions approximately 10 minutes before the first vehicle of the race passes. This vehicle will carry a red flag. The roads will be open to traffic again after the vehicle with the green flag has passed. At certain points on the route, such as downhill sections, the roads will already be closed in advance to traffic in the opposite direction to the race.

In order to guarantee an incident-free event, the organisation is counting on the understanding and help of all road users. During the entire event, road users are kindly asked to strictly follow the instructions of the police and the marshals.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, the company “Boplan” will provide “Race Bumpers” to secure the obstacles on the entire course.

Finally, thanks to the support of the ACL (Automobile Club du Luxembourg), LED panels will be placed along the route to make the race safer for the riders.
