International Junior Race

The GP Général Patton is a prestigious international junior race that attracts some of the world’s best young riders and stands as one of the most competitive events in its category.

With its demanding terrain and high-level competition, the race is a true test of skill, strategy, and endurance. More than just a race, the GP Général Patton has long served as a proving ground for future stars of the professional peloton.

Cyclists such as Remco Evenepoel (2018), Alexandr Vlasov (2014), and Marc Hirschi (2015) all left their mark on this event before going on to claim victories on the biggest stages of the WorldTour.

For junior riders, the traditional GP Général Patton represents a pivotal opportunity—one that could shape the course of their future careers in professional cycling.

International Junior Race

The GP de Luxembourg is an international junior race that attracts talented young riders from all over the world.

Held the day after the GP Général Patton, this event has been organized annually since 2019 and features a demanding course with a mix of climbs, descents, and technical sections that test the riders’ endurance and racecraft.

Together, the GP Général Patton and the GP de Luxembourg form a key competitive weekend on the junior international calendar—two days that not only challenge the riders physically and tactically, but also offer a unique opportunity to shine on a high-level stage. For many, this weekend marks a defining moment in their development and a potential springboard toward a professional career.

International U17 Race

The Critérium européen des jeunes is an international stage race for U17 riders, bringing together some of the most promising young talents from across Europe.

Held over two days, the race features challenging terrain with climbs, technical sections, and fast finishes—making it a true test of skill, endurance, and racing intelligence at a formative stage in a young cyclist’s development.

This highly competitive event has become a launchpad for future stars. Riders such as Marc Hirschi (overall winner 2014), Marco Brenner (overall and stage winner 2018), Cian Uijtdebroeks (overall and stage winner 2019), Mads Pedersen (stage winner 2011), and Bob Jungels (stage winner 2008) all made their mark at the Critérium européen des jeunes before rising to the highest levels of the sport.

For many young riders, this race represents an early milestone on the path toward a successful career in professional cycling.

2026 Race Information

Experience the excitement of an international cycling weekend in Luxembourg featuring some of the best young talents in world cycling. Over two days, the event brings together U17 and Junior (U19) riders competing in international races in the north of Luxembourg.

The weekend will also host the U23 4 Nations Championships featuring the national teams of Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The future stars of cycling compete in six international races across the weekend.

The 76th edition of the GP Général Patton will be held on July 4, 2026.
 
In 2025, it was Noah ANDERSEN  who claimed the victory, showcasing his talent and potential. As we look ahead to 2025, the spotlight is on who will follow in his footsteps and use this opportunity to make their name in the cycling world. 
 
For the junior riders, the traditional GP Général Patton represents more than just a race—it could be a pivotal moment that sets the course for their professional careers.

Critérium européen des Jeunes

The 27th edition of the Critérium Européen des Jeunes will take place on July 4 and 5, 2026. This two-day international stage race is open to U17 riders (15–16 years old) and brings together top young talents from across Europe.

A key fixture on the junior cycling calendar, the event has seen future stars such as Marc Hirschi, Marco Brenner, Cian Uijtdebroeks, Mads Pedersen, and Bob Jungels take early career victories here.

Teams of 5 riders will compete across two challenging stages.
